A perennial garden is the ultimate installation art. It is immersive, interactive, and perpetually evolving in unexpected ways. Designing and maintaining one is also good therapy in lots of ways.
A garden gives one plenty of things to do and inspires more art. Last summers pot of colorful flowers inspired me to make this painting a few months ago.
